Son of a Preacher Man

For Fafa, who's a fan of Pulp Fiction .

The version used by Tarantino is the first ever recorded : Dusty Springfield's. The song had been first offered to Aretha Franklin who had turned it down. Dusty agreed to record it for her Dusty in Memphis album and turned the song into a huge hit. Realising her blunder, Aretha eventually decided to record it but only as a B-Side, since it was a bit difficult to make an A-Side of a song that was already so much associated with another artist.

And last but not least, a version by Tina Turner that I had never heard before and that I found rummaging around on youtube.
