Again, a great (and not famous enough) artist : Romanian soprano Virginia Zeani (b. in 1925), singing one of her fetish roles : Rigoletto's Gilda. Here, she sings the duet "Tutte le feste al tempio" with baritone Aldo Protti as jester Rigoletto. It's probably one of the most mastered and moving rendition of this duet I've ever heard. Brava to both artists. The pictures of Virginia Zeani chosen for this video show what an extremely beautiful woman she was, on top of it.
Et encore un grande artiste trop méconnue : la soprano roumaine Virginia Zeani (née en 1925), qui chante l'un de ses rôles fétiches : la Gilda de Rigoletto. Elle chante ici le duo "Tutte le feste al tempio" avec le baryton Aldo Protti (Rigoletto). C'est sans doute l'une des interprétations les plus maîtrisées techniquement parlant et les plus émouvantes que j'aie jamais entendues de ce duo. Les photos de Virginia Zeani choisies par le concepteur de la vidéo montrent, par ailleurs, l'extraordinaire beauté de cette femme.

Agnus Dei - Coronation Mass - Mozart
Kathleen Battle is a very pretty woman. She's also a wonderful soprano, something that tends to be forgotten a bit, because of the divaesque attitude and terrible antics she's said to have displayed in the 80's and the 90's.
Kathleen Battle est un très jolie femme. C'est aussi une magnifique soprano, ce qu'on tend à oublier, sans doute à cause de la terrible réputation de diva capricieuse qui, à tort ou a raison, l'a poursuivie pendant les années 80 et 90.
Here, she sings the Agnus Dei from Mozart's Coronation Mass, for Pope John Paul II, in a 1985 live recording. It's the most moving interpretation I've ever heard.
The orchestra is conducted by Herbert Von Karajan. The other soloists are Trudeliese Schmidt, Gösta Winbergh and Ferrucio Furlanetto.

To compare with another recording by Karajan, a very good one, but not as beautiful, imho, though it's sung by great Bulgarian soprano Anna Tomowa-Sintow.
A comparer avec un autre enregistrement de Karajan, très bon lui aussi, mais pas aussi beau, à mon sens. Et pourtant c'est la grande soprano bulgare Anna Tomowa-Sintow qui chante.
