I made that video by request for a youtube member, but, unfortunately, because of copyright infringement, it seems that the vid is blocked in EVERY country in the whole damn world. As a result, I decided to upload it directly on blogger. I hope that fans of soul music and of Dee Dee will enjoy the song.

Dusty : I don't want to go on without you
La chanteuse anglaise Dusty Springfield, l'une de mes voix et l'une de mes interprètes préférées. J'aime à peu près tout d'elle jusqu'au fameux Dusty in Memphis, c'est-à-dire jusqu'au tout début des années 1970. Ensuite, elle s'illustre dans un style qui est nettement moins à mon goût, même si je dois avouer que j'éprouve un plaisir coupable à l'écouter dans les tubes que les Pet Shop Boys ont écrits pour elle à la fin des années 80.
Le live de 1966 qui suit est absolument magnifique : magnifiquement chanté et interprété par Dusty et ses choristes, magnifiquement joué par les musiciens, et magnifiquement filmé par la BBC. Louis Skorecki n'aime pas la choucroute de Dusty : soit. Moi, ça ne me dérange pas, même si je dois admettre qu'elle a déjà été mieux coiffée et sapée que lors de cette soirée.
Brit singer Dusty Springfield, one of my favourite singers and one of my favourite voices. I love almost everything she did until Dusty in Memphis, recorded in 1969. After that era, the kind of songs she chose to sing is not really my cup of tea. I'll except the few hits she did with the Pet Shop Boys at the end of the 80's, though.
This 1966 live from the BBC is absolutely incredible : beautifully interpreted by Dusty and her girls, beautifully performed by the musicians and beautifully filmed by the BBC. Louis Skorecki doesn't like Dusty's beehive : that's alright. I don't really care about the hair, even if I have to admit that she's already sported a better hairdo and a better dress than on this vid.
