Here is an incredible live version of Back Door Man, by The Doors. They really loved this Willie Dixon song and used to perform it quite often. They even recorded it for their first album, The Doors. Jim Morrison is as handsome and charismatic as ever in this video (I used to think he was the most beautiful man ever) and his great blues voice was definitely roaring that night.

Tainted Love
Tainted Love, a great 1980's classic by Brit band Soft Cell, you'll say. And you're right. Check Marc Almond coveting some cute guy's bum in this totally gay vid :

Way better than that Marilyn Manson turd of a cover in 2001 for that turd of a movie, Not Another Teen Movie. Manson adds nothing to the Soft Cell version, apart from a bigger, overproduced sound (his pathetic trademark). As for the video ... It's worthy of the lousiest macho rapper you could find : booze, swimming-pool, women in swimsuits frolicking with each other ... Canadian actress Mia Kirshner is probably the only sexy thing you can find in that vid - and if you blink, you miss her. The saddest part of it would be that Manson seems to believe that his video is kind of provocative.

Etienne - Guesch Patti
A la demande de Fafa (il y a un petit moment désormais), un fameux clip français des années 80 : Étienne de Patricia Porasse alias Guesch Patti. Cette chanson aux paroles et au clip ô combien explicites fut le seul hit de cette femme dont le parcours éclectique rappelle un peu celui d'une Catherine Ringer : danse, chant et cinéma (mais pas porno, contrairement à Ringer - à moins que Patti nous ait caché des choses).

Out Of Time - The Rolling Stones & Chris Farlowe
One of my favourite songs by The Stones : Out Of Time, written by Jagger and Keith Richards, for the incredible Aftermath album (1966). It's not very well-known. It's got that soul sound that reminds me of Motown and Phil Spector, that's probably why I love it so much. I love the mean and witty lyrics too :

Oh Mandy - The Spinto Band
You've got to love The Spinto band. Those guys look like complete nerds but they make some of the best pop-rock music I've heard coming from the United States in years : original and poetic. Here is their hit, Oh Mandy. Beautiful video.
